The Faculty of Industrial Engineering

The faculty plays an important role in providing technical expertise for developing renewable energy sources, in particular solar energy, with the aim of reducing local communities’ dependence on firewood. In addition to specially made solar ovens and water heaters, the use of solar panel allows people living in rural communities to use water pumps and their domestic appliances despite not having conventional and reliable access to electricity in rural communities. The faculty also provides assistance with the building and operating of machinery used in agriculture and other industries.
